In this interstitial comedy/horror film, Caesar Denovio (Dave Campfield) and his half brother Otto Denovio (Paul Chomicki) take on duties as Santa and his elf. I'm a great fan of both of the series by Rachel McLean although I have to say I enjoy the books with Lesley in better. I have enjoyed the Zoe Finch books but this one fell flat at the end and left me wondering if my Kindle had lost the last chapter. Posing as her sister for Christmas is the only way to save her, but Maggie Lofton needs help—even if it means working with her twin’s cowboy ex-boyfriend Liam Pike. Jessica spends the day at school daydreaming about all the nasty, nasty sex she is going to have with Jeremy.Sue discovers Jessica on the floor and she and Elizabeth drag her outside just as the roof caves in. Albert made an interesting victim, balanced by Miss Garside, a true character who just wants to know what’s going on.

I really enjoyed this book, but I do hope Zoe gets rid of her boyfriend, Carl, I don't really believe he is as straight forward as he seems, and there is someone else, much better for her, waiting in the wings. But even at the villains worst, his character has real humanity that makes his journey in this film, quite tragic.

The resemblance of the movies is not only striking, it becomes difficult to believe that John Hughes didn't use this film as inspiration for his classic Christmas tale.This was an 'extra' book which Rachel has snuck in whilst we wait for two new books in other series. Liz and Todd are studying at Todd’s house but Elizabeth can’t stop thinking about Sue and the Project Nature cabin. but this series is a safe format - easy to follow, some nice background for the characters and usually a fairly quick read. Sue worries about the police believing her story and wonders where the fuck Jeremy is since he was supposed to be at the house an hour ago.
