With a sleek slimline aesthetic, speedy response times, and comfortable wrist rest, there's still plenty going for the G513 in 2022. So the Logitech G513 is a sort of carbon-fibre coloured rectangle with raised keys and an exposed backplate. The additional faceted keycaps are a nice bonus towards the overall “gaming experience” with the G513. Of course, one is to power your USB passthrough (located in the top right corner), but it's still worth considering if you're running low on free connections. My biggest gripe with the Razer Synapse software was the required online account and online connection needed to be able to program the keyboard.

As for its performance, Logitech says that its G513 Carbon mechanical gaming keyboard responds 10ms faster and actuates 25 percent faster than the Razer BlackWidow Chroma V2.Needless to say, if you’re on the market for a decent gaming keyboard with a lean, professional look, this is the one for you - as long as you’re okay with the lack of dedicated media keys and macros.

However, the Razer's incredible responsiveness also makes it less ideal for general typing because the keys are overly sensitive, which leads to more typos. While I prefer the subtlety of the G513 Carbon, some gamers tend to enjoy splashier keyboards—the more ostentatious the lighting, the better. Use FN + F keys to control volume, play and pause, skip track, mute, toggle lighting, enter game mode, etc. The opportunities are endless, considering that profiles can be tied to any of the four lighting modes.

However, the K845 has a longer pre-travel distance, which should help prevent typos, and it's fully compatible with Linux. which adds a new estimated PCB latency test to the Single-Key Latency section and a new Analog test to the Switches section of this review.
