About this deal

R.I.P. The Flake girl". BBC News. August 17, 2004. Archived from the original on January 3, 2009 . Retrieved April 28, 2010. Here are the top chocolate bars that still continue to whet people's appetites today, along with their search volumes for the period of September 2021-2022. There was an outcry at the time from fans of the milk chocolate-wafer confection. A petition calling for the return of Mars Delight bars was launched six years' ago, which although garnered thousands of signatures, was unsuccessful. By 1930, Cadbury's was selling half-length Flake specifically for garnishing vanilla soft serve ice cream in a cone (" 99 Flakes") which was served by ice cream vendors. [2] First sold in the UK, they would later be sold in Ireland, Australia, South Africa and other nations. The later product, Cadbury Twirl, has two Flake-style bars covered in milk chocolate.

It appears people are craving the good old days as searches spike for older chocolate bars that have now been discontinued. Top of the list is Mars Delight which is reportedly the UK’s most-missed discontinued sweet treat. There was still something magical about the idea that you were holding a real Wonka bar, even if it (probably) wasn't mixed by waterfall. Terry’s PyramintFlake is a British brand of chocolate bar currently manufactured by British chocolate company Cadbury, owned by Mondelez International, consisting of thinly folded milk chocolate. The bar has a unique crumbly texture, and softens but does not melt when heated.

Flake snow is a type of snow that forms when the temperature is low enough for ice crystals to form and fall from clouds. It is the most common type of snow and is characterized by its large, soft, and fluffy flakes. In recent years, however, there has been a decrease in the amount of flake snow due to rising global temperatures. As temperatures continue to rise, the atmosphere is unable to hold as much moisture, resulting in less snowfall overall. Additionally, warmer temperatures cause the snowflakes to fall as rain or to melt before reaching the ground. This is causing a decrease in the amount of flake snow that we see each winter. The Snowflake may not seem like a big deal to all you big people in your big houses and big offices but down here in the only average/slightly above average sized houses/offices areas of the England it does ok, and I’m not just going to stand here and not do anything about it ok!?’And a fourth devastated fan of the chocolate wrote: ‘I’m signing because the Slowflake should never have disappeared in the first place. I remember when I realised they weren’t being sold anymore. I couldn’t leave my house, I was scared, disorientated and paranoid.

The Taz bar was released in 1994 and remained on shelves for a few years but has since been outlived by the Freddo. Flake Mint - flake which has a pale green mint-flavoured centre. In South Africa it is a mint-flavoured milk chocolate flake with no colouring. Flake Mint was introduced in Australia in late 2016 as a Special Edition flavor. These were released alongside the 2005 film Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, meaning that fans could buy Wonka bars in real life. A mix between a traditional Cadbury Flake and a Twirl the Cadbury Snowflake was crumbly white chocolate encased in milk chocolate. The Snowflake was also at points called a Flake Snow to separate it from its milk chocolate counterpart. It arrived on shelves in 2000 but by 2008 had been discontinued in the UK. The bar - under its name Flake Snow - is still available in other parts of the world. Asda has sold the 90s favourite Trio

We are very sorry to disappoint fans of Caramac. There has been a steady decline in its sales over the past few years and we had to make the difficult decision to discontinue it. The Mars Delight was a delicious combination of mlk chocolate, caramel and wafer. They were a hit when first introduced in 2004, however, the bars disappeared from shelves four years' later in 2008. Dream was a white chocolate bar made by Cadbury that was similar to Nestle's Milkybar. No longer manufactured in the UK you can still buy the Cadbury white chocolate bar in parts of Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. However at Christmas, a white chocolate advent calendar from Cadbury is often available to buy in England with the chunks behind the doors closely resembling the now outdated Dream. The Cabana is another bar with its own group appealing for its return But as chocolate fans get used to the latest changes what other sweet treats have we loved and then lost over the years?
