About this deal

We are often asked how do I teach my toddler or preschooler about spring and explain the changing season. Now that you’ve got the basics out of the way, we also recommend you take some time to update your Storybook to the current best practices. None of this is strictly required, but it’s worth taking the time to do it now. Many of these changes will be required in SB7, and we’re actively improving and building upon the latest best practices. Do you use addon-info, addon-notes, addon-contexts, or addon-centered? If so, these have all been deprecated in 6.0.

This can be done individually or practiced in small groups. You could lay out the words in the middle of a table and children have to identify from the pictures what spring words they can identify from a book read that day or week, then encourage reading or sounding them out. The Rhyming Rabbit by Julia Donaldson is a famous tale about a rabbit who likes to make up rhymes, but sadly not everyone wants to hear what he has to say, until he meets a sheep who also like to rhyme their words! This is a great text to use with EYFS to show them how compassion can make someone happy when they have been made to feel left out.
