The box and presentation is really neat, once you open the double door box the toothbrush rises up and some sound effects begin to play and you’ll hear the computer telling you that systems are go. This is the best presentation I’ve seen of a product “and it’s a toothbrush. And after lifting the plastic protective cover off the brush then remove the tray that’s holding it you’ll see another logoed card “Tony Stark” and after lifting that up you’ll be presented with all the accessories, Arc Reactor looking charging base, charger, USB cable, extra brush head and literature.

You can sign up for a subscription to get replacement heads sent every 1, 2 or 3 months at a very reasonable price for the replacement heads. Subscription also comes with a lifetime warranty. Arc Reactor Charging Base: Sleek design to mimic Tony Stark's artificial heart. Showcasing built-in breathing lights, the charging base gives the sensation that the toothbrush is alive when charging. The EVO IRM Sonic toothbrush runs on a 2-minute program for 4 different places in your mouth. (One-part upper right, One-part lower right, One-part upper left, One-part bottom left) Every 30 seconds, the toothbrush pauses slightly, letting you know when to move to another part of your mouth. And in two minutes your teeth and gums are refreshed and clean. In addition, the EVO IRM Sonic toothbrush has a memory, starting off from your last brushing mode.

The IRM toothbrush is sleek. It’s a wonderful glossy finish with the signature red and gold colors of the Iron Man suit. The Power button is represented by the Arc Reactor emblem while there are four lights beneath that light up depending on which cleaning mode you are using. The only issue for me was trying to tell what mode I was in. You cannot see the outlined yellow accented modes while brushing your teeth because they are facing you on the toothbrush which you are holding. You literally have to remove the toothbrush, while it is running (and making a mess) to see the modes. Now, with that being said, each mode has its own “sound tone” that it makes when you select the desired mode (really!). I am sure that if you are using the EVO IRM Sonic toothbrush twice daily, you will learn the assigned tone to each mode. But it takes a little bit of getting used to with a very, very short, learning curve.

Really, the bottom line her is this is fantastic toothbrush. If you are a Marvel fan, this is just the pinnacle of fandom. Not only do you get a awesome toothbrush you also get a box that is a collectors item in itself. Bravo EVO.

A lot of thought went into a lot of small details from box design to using the brush that still leave me smiling after a few days of using this toothbrush. The box also includes a replacement brush head as well as information on a subscription plan I may look into in the future. Charging is through the arc reactor base that is powered by a USB type C connection. It is really nice to have USB type C for the connector, one less cable to take on a road trip! Or a space charging cord if you left yours in the rental car. Done that a few times. I’m a proud comic book fanatic. Not only do I collect several comic series from Marvel, DC, and Image, but I also have a large collection of adjacent comic memorabilia. Toys from the movies, statues, games, etc. But never would I have imagined there would be a toothbrush that I would eagerly jump on. And yet, here we are with the EVO - IRM-1 Rechargeable Sonic Toothbrush! Now if you are a big Iron Man and Marvell fan then this toothbrush will be right up your alley. It looks great sitting on the bathroom counter and we both have to smile when we see it as it’s definitely not your regular “boring” looking toothbrush by a long shot and definitely worth the premium “especially when you see the presentation when unboxing it”.

The toothbrush looks like it was made by Dum-E. The charging base is...a arc reactor! The toothbrush head has a arc reactor pattern in the brushes. The handle lights up like it was a Mach suit with each press of the mode button.The unit contains a rechargeable battery that charges wirelessly through induction when placed standing up in the arc reactor charging base. This proprietary base also needs to be plugged into an outlet via the USB-C cable and wall adapter and pulses slowly with a glowing white light during charging. A full charge will last several weeks if you brush 2 times daily, though a small red battery indicator near the bottom of the handle will turn on when the unit has low battery and flashes when the battery is critically low. The manufacturer also recommends fully discharging the battery at least once every 6 months to maintain maximum capacity over the long-term.
