About this deal

One of the unique parts about the Shredder is the design of its teeth. While a lot of grinders have been trending towards sharper edges that slice right through your bud, the Shredder focuses more on pulling it apart. This gives you slightly larger, fluffier chunks of bud. There are a few different types of weed grinders. The first and simplest model is a single chamber with metal grinding teeth and a lid that either snaps or screws into place. The underside of the lid also has grinding teeth that work in tandem with the teeth inside the main chamber. To use this type of weed grinder, simply press a couple of nugs down into the grinding teeth, put the lid on, and twist. As you twist, the grinding teeth in the main chamber and on the lid chop the herb into small, uniform pieces. Multi-chambered grinders typically have a mesh screen across the bottom of the catching. The screen filters out the chunks of plant matter from the much finer, powdery kief, which falls through the screen and into a kief catcher. Some grinders have multiple screens to separate out the super fine grains of kief from the larger grains of kief. Either way, these multi-chambered grinders allow you to isolate and keep the cannabinoid-rich kief for future use. It also includes a rounded kief tray on the bottom chamber. While I wouldn’t mind the bottom chamber being just a tad bit larger, it’ll probably hold enough for most purposes. Just keep in mind that it’s not quite as deep as other keif trays on the market.

Obviously, the minutiae of your weed grinder's operation may vary (you may have one with a single chamber, for instance, but there are two- and three-chambered options out there, also), but there are a few basics that just about all of them have in common. And knowing these basics will allow you to use just about any grinder effectively (if not perfectly). Trust us, it's not as complicated as it might seem. We've outlined these basic steps below. For reference, the one we used in the photo above is the Higher Standards Aerospaced grinder. I personally feel that might be a bit too many teethfor my personal taste, but the thing really does shred like crazy. The big annoyance is you’ll definitely need to break your bud up into tinier pieces before you put it in your Space Case.

How Does a Cannabis Grinder Work?

MAXIMUM COLLECTION - Our Micron Screen sifts to get the optimal catch and our New Rounded Base Chamber ensures you get ALL of the herbs. You won't leave any behind with this herb grinder. Weed grinders are easy to clean and use. It’s important that you clean a weed grinder before each use because it will improve the longevity of your device and the quality of your marijuana. A rounded kief tray is simply a bottom chamber that’s got a bit of a curve to it. This allows you to easily take a small brush or pollen scraper and push/pull your kief out of the tray. It’s simple, it’s effective, and it’s way better than the standard tray. The Best Grinders for Kief

The product is of high quality. I bought several units for sale and only one sale with a detail on the magnet. The product comes very dirty but nothing a clean cloth solves. Recommended! The final option is the three-compartment grinder, which is comprised of four pieces and offers a high quality of ground weed. You may also hear this type of weed grinder referred to as a four-piece grinder. It can also collect pollen and kief. Finding a suitable ‘workspace’ is essential given how easy it is to lose bud when using a card grinder. Although you can get by with a flat table or even a book in a pinch, a rolling tray is ideal. Here’s how to use a card grinder: The better grip a grinder has, the easier it’s going to be to use. And an easier grip means you have to use less torque (the measure of force that causes an object to rotate around an axis) to grind the weed. That’s important if you’re a user who experiences a lot of hand pain. Don’t Be Afraid to Splurge Marijuana users have a wide range of options. Here are three of the best choices in the four cannabis grinder categories outlined above. Two-Piece Grinders

Stay highly informed.

Small (1.5-2.5 inches):While small, these still have enough room to be effective for small doses such as a single blunt. If you generally consume alone, these will probably work pretty well. They’re also small enough to be very portable. The Knimach kief grinder is a good bud grinder that is built from the highest-quality materials with unrivaled durability. It comes with 53 extra-sharp diamond-shaped cutting teeth that are perfectly positioned to offer maximum efficiency. It also has powerful neodymium magnets that will reduce the likelihood of you spilling your precious product.

Grip: If a grinder doesn’t provide a strong grip, turning it can soon become a literal pain! Less force is required with a good grip, ensuring smoother and easier operation.

A lot depends on the brand as one electric grinder could have different instructions than another. Generally, however, the process will look like the following: So on to our review of this grinder, starting from top to bottom we have the top piece to start with. As the images show we have the Masterdam logo on the top as well as carved grip on the outer exterior edge. As we open the grinding compartment we notice the powerful neodymium magnets that ensure a perfect and easy closure with no leakage. Then we have the “secret weapons” of this grinder. A series of unique features that make this grinder one of the best of the best. Just notice the rounded outer edge, the curved diamond teeth, the centering wedged on the outer edge, the very thin strip O-ring strip just to mention a few

At the bottom of the first chamber will be a pattern of holes – this is what allows the processed bud to fall into the second chamber. The larger these holes are, the less the bud needs to be ground up before it can fall through. If the holes are smaller the bud will need to be processed more before it’ll enter the second chamber, resulting in a finer grind. Second on my list is theMedium Santa Cruz Shredder. Now, if you’ve been around cannabis for any period of time, you’ve probably heard of the Santa Cruz Shredder. It’s renown for being an excellent product and some would even go so far as to say it’s the best grinder out there. I won’t necessarily say that, but I will say that it’s a high quality grinder that’s great for catching kief. This weed grinder has a micron screen and mini scraper to allow you to clean your weed and process it with nothing left behind. It comes with a 100% satisfaction guarantee along with a warranty, making sure you get exactly what you paid for.Pour out the alcohol and remove the grinder from the container. Use a toothbrush or another stiff brush to scrub your grinder clean. In this step, you'll get rid of the most tenacious residue—the stuff that's really gunking up your grinder and making it hard to use. It’s not bulky, it’s simple and it’s effective.”Generally speaking, four piece grinders work pretty well to catch kief. It’s not bulky, it’s simple and it’s effective. You’ll grind your bud, catch your bud, and then filter it for kief. Nothing crazy, but it works. While these tend to be cheaper, that’s not always the case. Some four piece grinders can actually get seriously expensive.
