In this article we will be doing a short Casio W86 review to find out what makes this watch so great. This particular model is pretty popular and has been gaining in popularity. It is often touted as being the successor to the Casio F91W.

Being a basic Casio timepiece with a traditional style it’s no surprise to find that it has a acrylic window lens. Acrylic can scratch but it’s very easy to buff most of these out with the right technique. It’s also highly shatter resistant so that’s a good benefit. It's also slightly bigger than the rest of the watches listed here. So if you're a person with slightly bigger wrists, where the F-91W might look a little small, this one's for you.
The Casio F-94W
That wasn't a typo - the F-91W comes in a range of colours, where you can get the same great form factor, function and crappy light, but in a case that's a little different from the norm. I myself have 6 of them: Throughout its history, the W86 has undergone some variations in its internal mechanism. The early models used modules 1275 and 1572, while the newer variants use module 3298. The watch wears very well, which shouldn’t be a surprise given its small size, and fully resin construction. It is very lightweight due to all of this as well, so it is very easy to wear, even during exercise. There are enough adjustment holes on the strap to ensure whatever fit you need as well- more than the F91W has. Versatility Water Resistance: The W86 has a water resistance rating of 5 ATM (WR50M), which is superior to the 3 ATM (WR30M) water resistance of the Casio F91W. This means that the W86 can handle activities like swimming and fishing without any issues.

These improvements in the internal mechanism of the Casio W86 have allowed the watch to evolve and remain relevant in the market over the years. If however, you want something very similar, but even less expensive, Casio offers plenty of similarly styled watches at competitive prices. This case is water-resistant up to 50 meters, which means it can withstand shallow water activities such as swimming without any problems. However, it is not recommended for diving or high-pressure water activities. While the Casio W86 has managed to maintain these qualities, it has also introduced significant improvements in aspects such as water resistance, illumination, and material quality. The button placement is pretty standard, with the light and mode buttons positioned on the right side of the case, while the start/stop button is on the left. The strap is what you would expect. It is a standard resin strap with grooves in it for air flow, which gives your wrist some room to breath.
